About Kenta Goto

A Tokyo native, Kenta Goto is a recipient of the "American Bartender of the Year" at the 2011 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.  After a seven-year tenure at Pegu Club, he opened his own bar, BAR GOTO, in New York City in 2015.  BAR GOTO has been featured by influential publications such as the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, and New York Magazine, and was named "Bar of The Year" in 2016 by Bon Appetit magazine and a James Beard Award semifinalist for "Outstanding Bar Program" in 2017 and 2018.  Kenta opened his 2nd bar, BAR GOTONIBAN, in Brooklyn in 2020.
