About Nankai Shuzo
Machida Shuzo, an acclaimed distillery situated in Amami Island, Japan, is renowned for producing kokuto shochu, a style of shochu exclusive to this region. The distillery has garnered recognition for its innovative approach, being the first to employ reduced pressure distillation in the creation of kokuto shochu. Notably, all of Machida's shochu products are aged in tanks for a period ranging from 3 to 20 years.
