About A-K Hada
Originally from Atlanta, A-K Hada began her career in the industry after moving to New York 9 years ago. After working as a bartender for the then rapidly growing Major Food Group for two years, A-K began her employment at the world-renowned PDT in 2014. Under the tutelage of Jim Meehan and Jeff Bell, A-K rose to the position of head bartender. She has also participated as a Cocktail Apprentice for the last five Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, where she currently serves a leader in the program as a “White Coat.” In 2017 and 2018, A-K was a National Finalist in the USBG World Class competition, sponsored by Diageo. She has since served as a judge for various other cocktail competitions, including Bacardi Legacy. Recently she left her position at PDT after nearly six years, to be a General Manager at Dave Arnold and Don Lee’s new Greenwich Village bar Existing Conditions. She is currently leading the beverage programs for two of Dante’s collaborations with Jean George in NY and the Snow Lodge in Aspen.

1.5 oz Imo Shochu (Sweet Potato), Kappa No Sasoimizu, Miyazaki
0.5 oz Lemorton Calvados
0.5 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
0.5 oz barley tea syrup
2 dashes cardamom bitters
Pine sprig as garnish
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a trimmed pine branch.
Kuri Spritz

2 oz Mugi Shochu (Barley), Aokage, Yanagita, Miyazaki
0.5 oz Oloroso sherry
0.5 oz chestnut orgeat
0.25 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur
1.5 oz seltzer water
Orange twist and cherry as garnish
Combine all ingredients aside from the seltzer into a mixing glass. Add ice and give a short stir. Strain into a collins glass filled with ice and top with seltzer. Stir once to combine and garnish with an orange twist and cherry on a cocktail pick.
