Product

A rice shochu aged over 10 years in oak barrels. Sengetsu Shuzo began barrel aging nearly 70 years ago, carefully maturing its shochu using new white oak barrels to draw out their natural aromas. It offers rich vanilla notes and a smooth, mellow rice character. Best enjoyed straight or on the rocks.

About Sengetsu Shuzo

Sengetsu Shuzo has been producing traditional rice shochu in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, close to 120 years since its founding in 1903. The name "Sengetsu" comes from Sengetsu Castle in the region, meaning “slender moon.” Sengetsu shochu is highly cherished in this heartland of rice shochu.
