Sesame Flip

2oz Goma Shochu (Sesame), Beniotome, Fukuoka
1 whole egg
0.5oz Madeira
0.25oz coconut cream syrup*

*Coconut Cream Syrup
Heat equal parts coconut cream (unsweetened) and sugar to combine.

Combine all ingredients in a shaker without ice and dry shake to whip up the egg. Add more ice, shake again, strain into a dessert wine or coupe glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

Satsuma Punch

2.5oz Imo Shochu (Sweet Potato), Kozuru Kuro, Kagoshima
0.5oz fresh mandarin juice
0.5oz fresh lemon juice
0.3oz red wine cinnamon syrup*

*Red Wine Cinnamon Syrup
Gently heat equal parts sugar and medium-bodied red wine until combined, along with 1 cinnamon stick broken up (per 8oz wine: 8oz sugar). Remove from heat and let cool, straining out cinnamon pieces after 10 minutes.

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake for approx 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with or without ice and garnish with a lemon twist.
